I was skeptical about hypnosis before coming to Ricky, but I heard great things about EHS, so I decided to try. I needed help to deal with various issues, such as anxiety, anger, response to stress, and stress eating. I felt like my life was getting out of hand, and I was led in different directions than I wanted to go. I wasn't happy with myself and the way I was living my life, and I was suffering because of poor self esteem, guilt, and unhelpful responses to life challenges. I was impressed by Ricky’s flexibility and focus during the sessions. She helped me deal with ongoing issues, issues that arose as I was sorting myself out and kept reminding me of my overall goals. The two biggest benefits of my sessions at EHS were improved self-awareness and self-esteem. I’ve shared the techniques I’ve learnt with my family members and involved them in improving the family's mental health. Reduced anger has also significantly improved my relationship with my family members. I don't get triggered by stress, issues at work, or other people as easily, and why I do get triggered, I am able to deal with these triggers in a healthy manner. I was a smoker for about 25 years and I have not smoked since my first (of two) hypnosis sessions. There were no significant physical cravings after the sessions but I did sometimes have thoughts about smoking. Those thoughts about the act of smoking only lasted about a week. I experienced a traumatic flight 8 years ago and was barely able to get on a single flight (within the last 8 years). I was a smoker for 24 years and had tried to quit smoking using various different methods and techniques. None of them worked, until I did hypnosis. After only one hypnosis session I quit smoking. Before hypnosis I suffered from Tinnitus and didn’t know what to do. It was a huge part of my life and I was living a pretty crappy life. I figured I had to do something. I was turned onto hypnosis and decided to give it a try. After four sessions, I can say that it has actually helped me. The noise has gone from just killing me and being at 100%, down to about 10-20% after hypnosis and using the tools I’ve been given. I was able to reframe the sounds and allow tinnitus to not define me and to let me live my life. All my life I struggled with nail biting. I used to have a phobia of dead things, specifically bugs and animals. And while it is normal to feel uncomfortable when confronted with those things, my reaction was severe. I would tense up and freeze, too anxious to move and wanting to crawl out of my own skin. After one session of Multi Channel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) I was able to pick up something with dead bugs on it without tensing up and I feel hardly anxious at all thinking of encountering a dead animal or bug in the future. I came in to work on weight loss through hypnosis, but I was also dealing with a lot of mental angst, negative thoughts and frustration. This last time was for a nicotine addiction which I have struggled with for 15 years. I have previously quit but always failed. Before hypnosis I went 7 years without blood work or any needles in general. Whenever a doctor suggested blood work I would say, “No thanks” and would tear up the paper (even if I really needed it). When I did go for blood work, I was often fighting nurses and being held down. I started using hypnosis when I got pregnant as I need needles and I go for IV fluids quite often now. I no longer fight or cry. I lay down and talk calmly to the nurses who are doing the needle. I’m calmer and I’m able to go into hospitals now without worrying about what they will do to me. I will use hypnosis again if I have another problem that I’m having trouble facing and clearing.

I recently found something out about my spouse’s past (before we even met) and I couldn’t let go of the memories and thoughts in my mind. Stress has been quite prevalent in my life. The levels of stress I had created dis-ease in my body, causing disturbed sleep, erratic eating habits and a combination of emotional anxiety and anger. Prior to experiencing hypnosis I had been experiencing chronic hip pain for over 2 years, despite many efforts made.  I had tried everything allopathic medicine had to offer and felt that I also exhausted all alternative medicine and therapies with little to no lasting relief. Hypnosis helped me let go of the anger and tendency to overreact I used to have. I was easily stressed and lost sleep because of negative and crowding thoughts. Before I started with hypnosis I had no self confidence. I was always second guessing myself and my decisions. I doubted my abilities at home, work, in social settings and even as a parent. I was a smoker for 20 years and tried to quit many times before. Hypnosis provided me with the support and tools to reach my goals in a way that was successful for me, and less stressful for those around me. I can be resistant to change, and can behave aggressively, even if I know the change is for my own good. However, with hypnosis, this wasn’t an issue. Honestly, there wasn’t any stress or negative emotions with quitting smoking, like I had experienced in the past when attempting to quit. And, I didn’t replace one bad habit with another, which was a surprise to me. I am still in shock that I have zero desire to smoke, even when I have my morning coffee or when I have some drinks with friends… which is when I always enjoyed smoking the most. I am 60 years old and I was a fairly heavy smoker for years. I drive truck for a living and smoked while driving out of boredom. Since I’ve quit, my health has improved immensely. I have.. I mean had.. an abnormal fear of storms, thunderstorms, wind storms, all of it. The anxiety would start, hours or days before the storm would hit. My son is a goalie who developed anxiety prior to important games and started to lose his confidence.
