Before starting hypnosis I used to get overwhelmed under stressful situations and had anxiety attacks. I used to be afraid when stressful situations arised at work or in life. I lacked key tools in how to deal with these challenges. Since using hypnosis, I feel that I developed more tools to apply under stressful situations and manage those moments better. I feel more confident in my abilities. My overall mental and physical health has improved. I feel more confident in setting boundaries. Before hypnosis, I was struggling with plenty of strong uncontrollable negative emotions. It felt as though my life was completely guided by these feelings of sadness and anger. I was a smoker for about 25 years and I have not smoked since my first (of two) hypnosis sessions. I experienced a traumatic flight 8 years ago and was barely able to get on a single flight (within the last 8 years). Before hypnosis I suffered from Tinnitus and didn’t know what to do. It was a huge part of my life and I was living a pretty crappy life. I figured I had to do something. I was turned onto hypnosis and decided to give it a try. After four sessions, I can say that it has actually helped me. All my life I struggled with nail biting. I used to have a phobia of dead things, specifically bugs and animals. And while it is normal to feel uncomfortable when confronted with those things, my reaction was severe. I would tense up and freeze, too anxious to move and wanting to crawl out of my own skin. After one session of Multi Channel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) I was able to pick up something with dead bugs on it without tensing up and I feel hardly anxious at all thinking of encountering a dead animal or bug in the future. Before hypnosis I went 7 years without blood work or any needles in general. Whenever a doctor suggested blood work I would say, “No thanks” and would tear up the paper (even if I really needed it). When I did go for blood work, I was often fighting nurses and being held down. I started using hypnosis when I got pregnant as I need needles and I go for IV fluids quite often now. I no longer fight or cry. I lay down and talk calmly to the nurses who are doing the needle. I’m calmer and I’m able to go into hospitals now without worrying about what they will do to me. Before I started with hypnosis I had no self confidence. I was always second guessing myself and my decisions. I doubted my abilities at home, work, in social settings and even as a parent. After hypnosis, I am way less anxious and I’ve noticed that I go through my day without worrying as much. I know how to combat my worrying throughout the day now. I also wrote my University finals without anxiety and felt very calm. I am so thankful for having had the chance for hypnosis. It made a difference and changed my life for the better. A feeling of peace has been an added benefit.

Before hypnosis I suffered with chronic and painful anxiety that was taking the joy out of my life. The anxiety that was felt both mentally and physically. Hypnosis has helped me improve my relationships with my immediate family that had been affected by those negative thoughts. I found that hypnosis helped me go deeper and really learn about the source of some of my feelings. I feel like I have left with a better understanding of myself. I found that the resources that were provided to me throughout my sessions were extremely helpful. I left my last session feeling educated about hypnosis and its techniques. I also left feeling confident about what had been accomplished during my sessions and my future self-hypnosis I will do at home. I also feel satisfied with the progress that I made and I am thankful that I chose to give hypnosis a try.

Before using hypnosis I felt anxious, stressed and overwhelmed. I wasn’t sleeping well and was waking often through the night. I was also aware of my extreme tinnitus. I now feel more calm and relaxed overall and I have a clearer sense of how to release stress. I feel more control and awareness of how I react to everyday life situations and circumstances. Additionally, I’ve noticed more confidence and joyfulness and I’m able to control how I react to difficult situations with a clearer mind. Plus, I’m sleeping better overall. I was a smoker for 20 years and tried to quit many times before. Hypnosis provided me with the support and tools to reach my goals in a way that was successful for me, and less stressful for those around me. I can be resistant to change, and can behave aggressively, even if I know the change is for my own good. However, with hypnosis, this wasn’t an issue. Honestly, there wasn’t any stress or negative emotions with quitting smoking, like I had experienced in the past when attempting to quit. And, I didn’t replace one bad habit with another, which was a surprise to me. I am still in shock that I have zero desire to smoke, even when I have my morning coffee or when I have some drinks with friends… which is when I always enjoyed smoking the most. Trying something new can be scary, however the hypnotist explained the process very clearly, and in a warm and welcoming manner, making this process easier than I thought it would be.

I am 60 years old and I was a fairly heavy smoker for years. I drive truck for a living and smoked while driving out of boredom. Since I’ve quit, my health has improved immensely. I have.. I mean had.. an abnormal fear of storms, thunderstorms, wind storms, all of it. The anxiety would start, hours or days before the storm would hit. I would try to find someone to be with me or I'd drive away. Packing my kids up at 11pm to "go for a drive" was not uncommon. I signed up for 3 sessions, and somehow was cured after one. Just 1 hour!!!! It has been 3 weeks, we've had some crazy weather (tornado watches) and I continued to play games with the family, continued chores with thunder in the distance. I’m so impressed with the changes I’ve experienced since starting my sessions with Edmonton Hypnosis Solutions. I found my attitude shift and behaviour change right away. What used to feel like a struggle now feels more like an easy automatic part of my day. Hypnosis has given me the tools to maintain the shift from struggle to ease. I now enjoy drinking lots of water and exercising daily instead of feeling as though these are chores I must do. Selecting and recording my healthy food choices feels like a privilege rather than a sacrifice. As an added bonus my ability to fall and stay asleep has improved dramatically. My son is a goalie who developed anxiety prior to important games and started to lose his confidence.
